The Heavy-Duty Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Equipment operated includes Excavator, Front End Loader, Rock Truck and TEREX FUCHS Scrap Metal Handler.

Pay:
-
$29.07 for 90 days, $30.07 after probation.
-
Additional $2.13 per hour going towards pension after 90 days.
Hours of Work:
Continental rotational shift rotation 6:00AM – 6:00PM & 6:00PM – 6:00AM (7 scheduled shifts every 14 days)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including: excavator, scrap handler, front end loader, rock truck.
- Operate various attachments as assigned (e.g. Grapple, Magnet etc.).
- Load scrap metal as assigned.
- Sort, stack, and process materials as directed.
- Clean, lubricate, check and replenish fluids as directed.
- Complete pre-operational equipment checks and other documentation as assigned.
- Operate two-way radio or other communication devices as required.
- Maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
- Other general duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience operating excavators, front end loaders, and rock trucks.
- Heavy Equipment Operator Certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- OSSD or equivalent considered an asset.
